Holiday Gift Program
Through our Holiday Gift Program, elders across Chicago receive a powerful reminder that they’re loved and not forgotten – a holiday gift chosen especially for them, delivered by a friendly volunteer. Due to the pandemic, we’ve modified this year’s program to ensure social distancing and limit the risk to elders, volunteers, and staff.
Each of our more than 1,000 elders will receive a festively decorated holiday bag filled with a grey fleece jacket, embroidered with our logo, and other holiday goodies that elders may not be able to easily treat themselves with.
You, a group of coworkers, family or friends can make a difference for Chicago’s lonely, isolated elders this holiday season!
Little Brothers Puts Health, Well-being First
We've put a proactive plan in place to help protect the health of our elders, volunteers and staff. Beginning Friday, March 13th, parties, social clubs and in-home visits are suspended.
Instead, volunteers and staff will be reaching out to our elder friends with handwritten cards and phone calls to check in and share conversation. Please join us to remind our elders they are not alone.
Support the Holiday Gift Program
Make a donation to sponsor an elder or two, or more, and ensure we have the funds to purchase 1,000 jackets and goodies for each festive bag. The value of each gift is between $35-$50.
Fill gift bags for elders
Purchase any of the items to fill gift bags for over 1,000 elders. Our mailing address is auto-filled, but please include your name and email on the gift tag. Little Brothers also receives a portion of your purchase as a donation!
