Every gift has a meaningful impact.

Your generosity makes a difference in the life of a lonely elder! With your gift, you provide meaningful friendship, as well as vital programs and services  always offered at no-cost to our members.

Little Brothers relieves isolation and loneliness among Chicago’s elders day after day, month after month — for life.

No one should grow older alone. And thanks to generous donors, our elders know the joys of friendship and connection. With our donors’ support, elders, volunteers and staff forge lifelong connections. These relationships change our elders’ lives, surrounding them with friendship and family.

Help elders make happy summer memories

Our Slice of Summer program will bring friendship and summer celebration safely to our elders for the second year! Support contactless deliveries made during visits from volunteers, as well as a return to Audrey’s House, LBFE’s vacation home, when possible.

Bring celebration to seniors aging alone

With your help, we celebrate each elder’s birthday with a special gift, handmade cards and other goodies to remind our seniors they’re remembered and loved, especially on their special day.

Provide friendship with a gift of any amount

Your gift of any amount surrounds elders with sustaining friendship and support as we enter the second year of the pandemic.

Your generosity makes our work possible

Thanks to the support of a caring community, Chicago elders aging alone are able to rely on Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly year after year, no matter what — especially essential this year. Thank you.

Who are our elders?

We welcome women and men 70 and older, from every walk of life, who are aging without the support of family and friends. The average age of our elders is 82. Thirty-eight percent rely on a walker or wheelchair to get around. And just over half could not count on having more than two social interactions lasting longer than 30 minutes in a month without Little Brothers.

How we serve

All of our programs and services, always provided at no cost, are designed to remind Chicago’s elders that they are not forgotten and not alone. Through our programs, elders are able to make lasting, meaningful friendships with each other, volunteers and staff. And through our social work services, elders are supported and empowered in making important life decisions.

Make friendship possible!

Your gift of any amount provides friendship, laughter and happy memories. For Chicago elders living without friends and family, Little Brothers is a reliable, constant source for connection and socialization that leads to lasting, meaningful friendships.
