Join the Young Professionals Advisory Board

Are you a Young Professional? Here are our requirements:

  • You’re 24-40 years old and dedicated to LBFE’s mission of alleviating isolation and loneliness among the older adult population
  • Commitment to using your skills and strengths to advance LBFE and build a stronger foundation of volunteers and donors
  • Help developing and employing new strategies
  • Being an ambassador for LBFE Chicago in the community and expand our sphere of influence
  • Attendance at at least 4 of the 6 meetings a year (meetings occur in odd-numbered months)
  • Attendance at the YPAB’s annual fundraiser and at least one other YPAB event yearly
  • Assistance selling tickets and promoting fundraisers
  • Active participation on a committee
  • Two-year commitment
  • Give or get a $100 contribution each year

Once you fill out the application below, and it’s approved, you’ll need to:

  • Complete the standard LBFE new volunteer orientation and background check
  • Sign our repudiation of gift and conflict of interest statements
