Spread Holiday Cheer — Volunteer!

We throw three parties on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day both, so our elders are surrounded by friends, conversation and laughter. Our volunteers make this possible! Drive an elder to a holiday party and enjoy the celebration together.

Celebrate fall with our elders!

At Little Brothers, this fall is filled with birthday parties, family reunion-style celebrations and our big Halloween bash. Sign up to become a Little Brothers’ volunteer and join in the celebration!

Making Our Holiday List... Already!

We start planning early to ensure every LBFE elder receives a special gift in the month of December. Sign up with your family or group to shop for a specially requested gift — a powerful reminder to our elders they are loved and not forgotten.

Volunteer

By sharing their friendship and time, our volunteers truly change the lives of our elders.

Programs

From a special in-home visit to a delivery of groceries at the end of the month, our programs are designed to bring friendship and sustaining services to elders aging alone.

Support

We’re grateful to all those who support our work and mission. Because of your dedication and generosity, 1,200 elders can count on Little Brothers.

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly has been dedicated to relieving isolation and loneliness among Chicago’s elders since 1959.

Women and men 70 and older who are aging alone have a family in Little Brothers. For 60 years now, we’ve been providing steadfast friendship to thousands of elders who no longer have friends and family to rely on.  All of our programs and services are always offered at no cost, and our organization receives no government assistance. We depend on the generosity of donors to bring conversation, companionship, celebration and connection to the elders we serve.

Donate

Your gift of any amount has a powerful, direct impact on the life of a lonely Chicago elder. Your generous support connects our elders with meaningful friendship, engaging programs and vital services.
