Make a Thanksgiving Day delivery

This Thanksgiving, we’re delivering 800 homemade meals to make sure no elder feels alone. You can help bring joy to a Chicago elder!

Bring friendship and support to Chicago's elders

We’re nearing the end of our 60th year in service. And your gift of any amount will help us begin a new decade of friendship and support elders can rely on — no matter what.

Adapting our programs to meet our elders' needs

Based on the CDC’s recommendations for containing the spread of COVID-19, we’ve made temporary changes to our programs and services to protect the health of our elders — among the most vulnerable — and entire community.

Virtual volunteer orientations

Reach out to an elder over the phone or through the mail! We’re matching volunteers with elders across Chicago to grow friendships and relieve isolation and loneliness — more important now than ever before.

Volunteer

By sharing their friendship and time, our volunteers truly change the lives of our elders.

Programs

From a special in-home visit to a delivery of groceries at the end of the month, our programs are designed to bring friendship and sustaining services to elders aging alone.

Support

We’re grateful to all those who support our work and mission. Because of your dedication and generosity, 1,200 elders can count on Little Brothers.

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly has been dedicated to relieving isolation and loneliness among Chicago’s elders since 1959.

Women and men 70 and older who are aging alone have a family in Little Brothers. For 60 years now, we’ve been providing steadfast friendship to thousands of elders who no longer have friends and family to rely on.  All of our programs and services are always offered at no cost, and our organization receives no government assistance. We depend on the generosity of donors to bring conversation, companionship, celebration and connection to the elders we serve.

Donate

Your gift of any amount has a powerful, direct impact on the life of a lonely Chicago elder. Your generous support connects our elders with meaningful friendship, engaging programs and vital services.
