Thanks to our volunteers, donors and supporters, Chicago’s elders aging without friends and family did not feel alone during a deeply challenging year. We wish you a happy, hopeful new year, and we thank you for sharing friendship and hope with our elders year-round, year after year.
Until it’s safe to gather again, we will continue to serve our elders during contactless deliveries and connect during phone visits and through the mail. You can join us! Just sign up for an upcoming virtual orientation to learn more about our distanced volunteer opportunities.
Your gift of any amount supports essential programs and services for elders, like our Food Bag Program, which provides a week’s worth of fresh groceries and pantry staples to elders most in need.
Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly has been dedicated to relieving isolation and loneliness among Chicago’s elders since 1959.
Women and men 70 and older who are aging alone have a family in Little Brothers. For 60 years now, we’ve been providing steadfast friendship to thousands of elders who no longer have friends and family to rely on. All of our programs and services are always offered at no cost, and our organization receives no government assistance. We depend on the generosity of donors to bring conversation, companionship, celebration and connection to the elders we serve.
Your gift of any amount has a powerful, direct impact on the life of a lonely Chicago elder. Your generous support connects our elders with meaningful friendship, engaging programs and vital services.
